The equipment breakdown warranty offered by your dealer gives you
a level of confidence previously not available. You enter into a
purchase with the option of obtaining bottom-line protection if
there is a mechanical or electrical breakdown after the sale. This
warranty is only available through selected dealers, those known
for their experience and for the quality of the equipment they handle.
The equipment warranty covers the cost to repair or replace used
equipment following an electrical or mechanical breakdown. Some
of the components covered for breakdown include equipment controls,
mechanicals, motors, pumps, gears, and power supplies. This warranty
is only available at the time of purchase, and is priced as an option
in your dealer's quote, so you know what the cost is up front. It's
totally optional; you decide whether or not to purchase it.
The warranty picks up when you depend on the equipment the most.
Coverage begins when the equipment is connected and ready for use,
and when your dealers' return privilege ends. Coverage highlights
- Unlike most warranties, breakdowns due to operator errors and
unintended overloads are included.
- Labor and replacement parts are included (like parts that are
customarily used in the industry).
- The warranty term is for one full year
- Limit is 100 percent of the asset purchase price, not to exceed
- Deductible is 5 percent of the purchase price, up to a $2,500
The warranty does not cover performance, safety, efficiency,
or utility of the equipment. Please note there are other exclusions.

Equipment must be installed in the United States, Canada, Puerto
Rico or Mexico, and is not currently available to buyers residing
in Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Maine, Missouri, New York,
Oregon, Utah, or Wisconsin.
HSB fully underwrites and bears the financial obligation for the
warranty. After your dealer's initial return privilege lapses, HSB
assumes all liability for warranty service and claims, including
cost for repair or replacement following a covered breakdown.
If a covered piece of equipment suffers a mechanical or electrical
breakdown, simply contact HSB by phone WITHIN FOUR DAYS to report
the claim. HSB's representative takes the basic loss information,
and when necessary, initiates a more in-depth investigation. You
can then contact the repair firm of your choosing or work with HSB
to locate replacement equipment. Once the extent of the covered
loss is determined, HSB reimburses you directly for the cost of
repair, including parts and labor.
